Aspen/The John Denver Experience
This is a Journey/Adventure I never expected! But it happened! And musically more influential than any other musical experience in my life. I am lucky for these experiences. I performed with multiple members of John’s band. Incredible musicians! Incredible people! Best of the Best! I was living a life outside of my own. Thank God for this amazing opportunity! I am truly Blessed!
So here’s how it played out!
- October 2009 – Received a call from John Denver’s Brother after they received a copy of my tribute album to John’s “Rocky Mountain Christmas”. I was asked to perform a tribute concert to John with some of his band members. I did and loved every moment. I met several members of his family and his band. Amazing people!
- October 2010 – Was subsequently asked again to be a part of this wonderful performance and tribute. Again, amazing experience!
- October 2011 – This was the pinnacle of my experience performing with members of John’s band. Mollie Weaver, Alan Deremo, Bill Danoff (Co-Writer of Country Roads) were some of my band mates for this performance. Incredible show! Many of John’s band members attended including Steve Weisberg who wrote the song “Christmas for Cowboys”. Yes! This was definitively the pinnacle of my career. These amazing musicians and people were approaching me with compliments on my performance. I have nothing on them but appreciate and am so grateful for their recognition.
